JOBIM 100

Celebrating Jobim's 100th anniversary

PASSARIM

ABOUT
ABOUT

PASSARIM is dedicated to reimagining the work of Antonio Carlos Jobim through the lens of a new generation of artists. Founded in São Paulo in 2017 by João Leão, Tika, Kika and Igor Caracas, the group revisits Jobim’s iconic 1987 gold album Passarim, translating its rich orchestral language into a minimalist format shaped by vocal effects, electric guitars, synthesizers, and touch of psychedelia. The group has since released two official singles in tribute to Jobim and João Gilberto and one original composition, Bangalô.

Since its creation, PASSARIM has performed in major venues and theatres in Brazil and has toured internationally, with performances across Canada in 2024 and 2025 (Toronto, Ottawa, Montréal, and the East Coast). The project has also collaborated with important artists from São Paulo's indie scene, as well as renowned musicians that are part of Jobim’s legacy, Jaques Morelenbaum and Paula Morelenbaum.

For 2027, PASSARIM presents JOBIM 100, a special program marking the centennial of Antonio Carlos Jobim. Expanding beyond the Passarim album, the repertoire draws from a broader selection of Jobim’s work, alongside new original material, all shaped within the sonic universe the group has developed over the years.
